ㄧ位藝術家來自於對自我要求的提升,很自然的誠懇面對自己的創作需求,不斷的提升自己的創作風格,在堅持、耐心、創新、嘗試中淬鍊下創作的歷程。


楊嚴囊的創作傾向於抽象風格,來自於內心世界的轉換與沉澱,受到樹的靈感啟發,這些原本枝芽的張牙舞爪,盡皆被藝術家收服的妥貼,融入在畫布中,與自己、自然的對話。


樹的生命力,自然也反應藝術家怎麼來觀看世界,沒有過多的喧嘩競技,而是更多的沉思、冥想、構成而幻化成簡單的造型與色彩。欣賞楊嚴囊的創作,首先需要寧靜的與其面對,如同ㄧ草一木的行進軌跡,生命關照自然的成長,亦是自然節氣的延展,不需要過多藝術史觀的包袱,它就是靜靜的佇立等候您的共鳴與迴響。

Artist’s Self Description:


文|#楊嚴囊

  寫實風格已不能滿足我對藝術的追求,從類印象派時期,半抽象時期到抽象時期,每一階段的成長,對我而言是一種體悟,以及心境的轉換。西元2005年後,我經常出國參觀美術館,觀摩世界級大師的傑作,得到了很多啟發,於是,開始向內探索,發展出屬於個人內心的抽象畫。

My passion and pursuit of art could no longer be satisfied by realism. Looking back at my learning of arts, from Impressionism to Semi-abstract and Abstract works, every stage was not merely growths, but also forms of understandings and transitions. Since 2005, I constantly visit art museums abroad and study the masterpieces of great artists. I was deeply enlightened. I started to look back into myself and try to develop my own abstract works.


  我的創作以大自然為師,喜愛大自然、親近大自然,長久的觀察,相濡以沫,ㄧ沙ㄧ石、ㄧ草一木,透過內心的直覺,把季節的更替,與自然的節奏,用自己的藝術語言表現出來。近年發現樹的姿態變化萬千,充滿與自然搏鬥的生命力,令人激賞,就以樹為創作構成元素。把樹的形體簡化,簡潔成色塊風格。創作過程中,油彩在畫布上多次堆疊的筆觸,使作品有厚重感,猶如雙腳踩在土地般的厚實。肌理的細膩處理,讓層次色彩有變化,使畫面產生微妙的光影效果。

When it comes to creating, I treat the nature as my teacher. As I love, get close to, and observe the nature, I began to perform the sand and pebbles, grasses and trees, changes of seasons and natural rhythms in artistic manners. Recently I discovered the externally changing aspects of trees: they fight against the harsh nature and demonstrate their liveliness. Therefore, I bring in the images of trees and simplify them into simple blocks of color. During the course of my creation, I cover layers and layers of oil paint on my canvas, making my work heavy as if standing on solid soil. Then, I finalize the details by dealing with the textures, enriching the colors and building contrasts in my pieces.


  在西方藝術作品的沖擊下,從抽象的角度,思索色彩的對比與協調的課題。不管造型如何改變,色彩永遠是主軸,因對色彩的敏銳,藝評家謝里法教授稱譽為「調色盤上的魔術師」。近年,喜用象徵性的色彩及符號來創作,作品採用塊面式的構圖,色彩追求和諧統一,在對比中尋求畫面的視覺平衡,對比色在畫面所佔比例,會突顯畫面的節奏和韻律感,讓觀著賞心悅目。

I think about colors and contrast from an abstract point of view. This way of process art is probably influenced by western art works. However, no matter how the trending style changes, the color of the works will stay the same. The artist and professor Hsieh, Li-Fa was known as “the magician on palette.” Recently, I work with symbolic elements such as simple colors and symbols. As for work, I put together blocks and seek for the harmonious between the arrangements of blocks. By balancing the block pieces and focusing on the contrast of colors, I want to enhance the sense of rhythm, and comfort the eyes of my viewers.

 

  時尚元素的土耳其藍,給人活潑輕盈的感受,紅色在我們民俗中,代表熱情喜悅、吉慶幸福;紫色在東方屬「富貴色」,象徵高貴的身份和地位;金色的輝煌華麗、自然祥和,使整個畫面富有韻律的設計感。對金色的偏執,已成為我作品中的特色。

To talk about colors: Turkish blue gives people a modern and light feeling; red, in our culture, represents passion and fortune; purple, in the Eastern world, means wealth and good status; gold means magnificent and natural harmony. The usage of those colors make my work fashionable. Recently I use golden color in my works frequently, and this color has somehow become my signature.

 

  很多畫幅中,有圓形的幾何符號,不同作品的圓形符號,我覺得能讓畫面有穩定的感覺,有不同的意義,讓觀者自由聯想,解讀,它可以是晴空裡的暖陽,山間明月,也可以是煦日裡海面上的浮光躍金、家人團聚的幸福,天真無邪的笑靨....,它其實是象徵著「圓滿完整」,用以傳達我們的喜悅,感恩知足,希望觀者也如是。

To talk about shapes: in my works, there are many circular shapes. These shapes, in my opinion, can insert senses of stability in my works. There are, of course, different meanings that the viewers can freely interpreted on their own. It could probably be a warm sun in a clear day, or moon in the mountains, or the golden splash on ocean at dawn. It could also be the reunion of family, or a naive smile on children’s face. I myself would like to view the circular figures as “unity,” and I hope this sense of unity can express my happiness and thankfulness to my viewers.
